I’ve been stepping it up a notch to get in shape for our next vacation to Tulum and started a little late which means go a little HAM in the gym! However, because of having a busy schedule and a full time business, I don’t get to go as often as I would like. With that being said, I love to get a lot of HIIT exercises in with my Classpass membership and having a Peloton really has helped. If you haven’t checked out my review on the Peloton, check it out (there’s also a code to get $100 off).

For me, working out isn’t just about being lean, it helps me get an endorphin rush. When I workout, I’m taking care of me and my mindset which allows me to be the best version of myself. This allows me to put my best foot forward in being a wife, fur baby mom, and boss to my employees.

Because it’s winter, I mainly work out at home or take classes through Classpass. In today’s post I figured I would share more info about it and share some of my top Dallas fitness studios.

What is Classpass?

ClassPass is a more innovative approach to a gym membership that grants you access to thousands of different classes at studios and gyms in your city and around the world. I mainly use Classpass in Dallas where I live, but I love checking out new boutique studios when we travel to different places. I’ve been a member for years now and love how diverse all of my workouts are because of it. Coming from my competitive fitness background where I would do some of the same workouts all the time, I got burnt out and needed fitness to be fun again. With Classpass, I’m able to change things up on a daily.

Accountability

When you sign up for a class and don’t show up, you get charged $20 so it holds you accountable. Once a week (on Sundays typically),  I plan out all my workout classes as if they’re appointments that way I make it a priority to get my workouts in.  I actually have a group text with my fellow “swolemates”  that have Classpass and we share our workout schedules for the week. It’s another way for us to hold each other accountable. It’s also a great way to hang out with friends without having to go out and eat or drink.

When it comes to working out, my favorite is HIIT exercises because you blast the most calories in a shorter period of time but I also really like barre, cycle, and pilates (often times you’ll see me joke about it and call it Pie~lattes haha)

When it comes to working out, my favorite is HIIT exercises because you blast the most calories in a shorter period of time but I also really like barre, cycle, and pilates (often times you’ll see me joke about it and call it Pie~lattes haha). My girlfriends always laugh at me when I tell them “if I don’t feel like I got murdered in class, then I don’t want none of it!”. Below I’m sharing all of my favorite classes in Dallas!!!

HIIT:

Beyond 500 – I love taking this class because you literally burn beyond 500 calories in 50 minutes, hence the name. This class uses Curve treadmills which burn 30% more calories than a traditional treadmill. It’s the only studio I have visited that has one. In this class they use three disciplines to create the most efficient and balanced workout system: Pilates-inspired smart movements, cardio intervals, and strength exercises with kettlebells. I have a love/hate relationship with the cardio intervals. They are hard af and every time I go to this class, I get a little anxious right before. There’s been times I almost threw up after the cardio part but after I finish, I feel like a champ!

Tread Fitness – Tread fitness is very similar to beyond 500 where they do cardio intervals and strength training but they don’t use the curve treadmills nor pilates movements. I love love love the music they play here and have liked pretty much every instructor.  I’m not going to lie, I’m boujee af when it comes to classes and instructors. I love high energy everything especially because I go pretty early in the mornings. I need all the help waking up and feeling re energized after a workout!

Cycle:

Zynn22 – hands down my favorite cycle studio. I love the music here especially on Monday nights with Ben since he is an actual DJ. Music really makes it or break it because it’s a rhythm based indoor cycling class. In this class they combine cardio and strength training for a full body workout. I tend to go with a few girlfriends and it’s like we’re dancing at a nightclub. We will occasionally sing along, dance, and have a “partio sesh” on the bike.

Barre –

Exhale Dallas -So I have taken almost every barre studio in Dallas and my favorite studio is Exhale. I was a member for years and would be if I didn’t have Classpass and didn’t want more diversity.  Barre classes are ballet-inspired fitness classes that incorporate moves from other disciplines, including yoga, pilates, and dance. Normally, in a normal gym, I like mirrors around the strength training equipment but here I love that they don’t have mirrors. You become more focused on your form rather than stare at yourself in a mirror and form is really important in this class. When I first retired my IFBB Bikini Pro heels, I had gained a lot of weight and wanted to find a new workout regimen that had more low impact exercises. This class really helped me reshape my body and elongate my muscles. I especially love what it did for my glutes and thighs. At one point, I almost taught here because it really impacted my life but ended up not. My hubby even built me a ballet barre at home so I could practice.

My homemade ballet barre Chris built me in 2013!!! Talk about Flashback!

Yoga:

Exhale Dallas – I used to dislike chill yoga because I could not sit still for the life of me. This past year I started getting into meditation and have finally learned how to relax and really focus on my breathing. I’m still not perfect at this and I really could do this on a daily. This class is a mix of restorative yoga and mindful meditation. There have been a couple times I was so relaxed in this class that I fell asleep.

Corepower yoga – I love the Yoga Sculpt class here. If Pilates, Yoga and cardio made a baby, it would be Yoga Sculpt!!! It’s a combination of yoga, cardio, and pilates/sculpting movements. I’ve never taken anything like it. Even though it has a cardio sequence, I love that it’s a low impact class.

Last but not least….

Although Grit Fitness isn’t on Classpass anymore, they have the best HIIT workouts and their boutique studio offers a diversity of options. They offer HIIT classes, Yoga, sculpting classes, Turbo kick and many others! If you’re not ready to join Classpass , their membership would be a great alternative. Plus I love what their community is all about, women empowerment!!!

So are you ready to jump on the Classpass train yet or nah? haha Don’t forget when you use my code, you get $30 off the 5 or 10 pack!!
